RöstBar - the coffee manufactory in Uetikon at Lake Zurich. On the site of an old, decommissioned factory, in the former laboratory room, the coffee manufactory "RöstBar" was created with great attention to detail at the beginning of 2020.
According to the motto "Coffee, good coffee is our passion", they roast coffee specialities using a traditional drum roasting machine in small quantities for restaurants, offices and for private coffee lovers with high demands.
For perfect coffee enjoyment, only the best raw coffee varieties are good enough for them. Sustainability is very important to them in the cultivation and logistics of coffee. They take special care to ensure that there is no overexploitation of nature and the environment, and that the coffee farmers have fair working conditions and are paid a fair wage. For this reason, they will be sourcing all coffees via a new platform this year, which will also enable smaller roasting companies to have direct contact with the farmers and still be able to purchase smaller quantities. This way, they know with certainty where the money is going and which future projects will be financed by the producers in the country themselves.
It is their goal to make fine speciality coffees from selected producers from different countries known throughout Switzerland.
Since 2022, they have been BIO-certified with beans from 5 countries of origin for the time being. Gradually, they want to switch to BIO for the rest of the coffees.
