In 2013, we received the silver medal at the Regional Products Competition, Courtemelon, Jura.

Alplieb - Products - by hand - from the heart - from the farm
Our home is situated at 1'300 metres above sea level, outside the village of Matten, St. Stephan. Quiet, secluded and surrounded by woods and meadows - our natural paradise. In 1998 Eric & Erika Steiner took over the farm from Erika's parents. Our mountain farm with 16 hectares of land is located in mountain zone 4.
In autumn 2015, we switched from dairy cow farming to dairy sheep farming. Since then, East Frisian milk sheep, Lacaune, Engadine mountain sheep and Black Nose sheep belong to our farm, about 30 of them are milked every day and in the autumn/winter months sometimes about 50 lambs are born, which need care and "Schöppeli" almost around the clock.
Our farm is also home to our two mother cows with their calves, quails and the lovely house cat "Zilli". and recently the two donkeys Marisa and Marie-Lou have completed our herd. In 1998 we created our popular herbal tea blend, which we market together with many other products that have been added in recent years under our ALPLIEB brand - true to the motto "quality not quantity".
