And this is how the new blend tastes: The natural process gives the coffee an incredible sweetness with notes of caramelized toffee, and light chocolate, while the undertone from the washed coffee from Guatemala is always in the walnut range. A very soft acidity, a creamy body, with a slightly earthy finish round out the coffee by the Indian Monsooned.

Since 1978, founded by the father Carlo Filippini, the coffee roastery is located in the Gundeldinger quarter (opposite Mereth Oppenheim high-rise) at Güterstrasse 112. They, mother Doris Filippini and son Stefano Filippini, roast top-quality Arabica coffee for private use as well as for restaurants and office communities on a daily basis. They roast with much love for the traditional craft in a gentle drum roasting process using a soon to be 100-year-old Probat roasting machine. The freshly roasted beans are cooled in a few minutes directly after the roasting process on a cooling screen and are then ready for mailing. For store sales and for distribution to the catering trade, the beans go through a resting phase, depending on the degree of roasting between 1 and 12 days.
